Large-scale Moscow's Strikes Disrupt Electricity Across Ukraine's Capital

Ukraine's power facilities have faced increased attacks in the past few days

During the night, Russian aerial assaults have resulted in electricity outages in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Nine people were injured while local people in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and encountered problems to water systems, according to local authorities.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a distinct aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, according to local officials.

Moscow has escalated strikes on power infrastructure over the past few days, while the country's government has demanded "concrete actions" from partner nations to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not window dressing but strong steps - from the America, the EU and the G7 - in supplying protection systems and applying restrictions," he wrote in a social media post.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and over thirty rockets attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were striving to restore power.

A wave of strikes damaged power facilities and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people injured in the strikes on the city have been taken to hospital, per statements from city authorities.

Local officials said the urban area endured intense attacks during nighttime hours. A minor lost their life and multiple civilians were wounded.

The strikes succeed evenings of air raids in the territory, parts of which remain under the control of invading troops.

The whole nation is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to detect.

National leaders told reporters that Russia was purposely seeking to demolish the national power system, with strikes already impacting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and government agencies were preparing for more assaults.
